The Hon Amos Okot MP Agago North attended the 8th Central Organising Committee (COC) meeting in Kitgum and provided an update on the infrastructure development progress.
He told attendees that together with various members of the community and COC, he was working with other MPs on the clearance of Kalongo Airstrip and on improving the road that leads to Kalongo which was still in a very poor state.
Fr. Ramon Vargas Parish Kalongo also attended the meeting and gave Catechism to the attendees.
The next next meeting will be in Kalongo on 14 October 2022. The Kitgum Vicariate will have their meeting on 7th Oct 2022.
Road Drive and social media campaign
A publicity road drive for the the Beatification of Fr Dr Ambrosoli took place at Padibe and Lokung.
Efforts to create a social media campaign are also underway. This will include a dedicated Facebook page and Twitter and Instagram pages.
The Kalongo Times is a news publication which celebrates progress and development in Kalongo town and the wider Deaconry (formally Kalongo Mission). The Deaconry encompasses present-day Agago, part of Pader, part of Kitgum and part of Abim.
